The first MGallery hotel in Budapest invites you to extraordinary events aiming to create the „Artistic Spirit of Budapest”. The diverse offers of the old and new pride of Budapest, Hotel Nemzeti Budapest add colour to spring in the capital. Be among the first guests of the new centre of Budapest society.
The first Hungarian MGallery Hotel opened in December 2012. Accor, the largest hotel operator in the world opens MGallery hotels exclusively in extraordinary and unique buildings. The high-end hotels stand out either for their architectural heritage, due to their historical background, or for their special natural environment.
The building that is now home to the first MGallery Hotel in Hungary welcomed its first guests 117 years ago, in 1896. It was the most modern and most sophisticated hotel at the time. It featured the first elevator in the city; every room had electricity, running hot and cold water and a bathroom en suite. Not surprisingly, the hotel near the National Theatre became a popular meeting place not only for tourists but also for the Budapest public interested in arts and culture. Hotel Nemzeti is becoming an active player of the city’s cultural scene once again hosting exhibitions, cultural events and an art club while introducing Hungaricums to its guests.
Admire Hotel Nemzeti Budapest’s original staircase, the restaurant ceiling decorated with lead-glass and Venetian mirrors. The 19th century feel is complimented by modern interior design, contemporary paintings and design objects. The goal is to preserve values and to make the hotel a center of social life again, so as to recreate the noble atmosphere of old for the guests of today. MGallery hotels commit to present their guests with memorable moments. Hotel Nemzeti Budapest comes to life honoring the „Memorable Moment” motto.
